Breakfast is a must in the beginning of day to break your fast and it should be healthy and nutritious. Preparing a small bowl of whole-grain porridge mixed with natural sweeteners like honey and fruits are a much more healthy food than the Oatmeal for a breakfast. It can be easily prepared and easier like catching up a Muffin or doughnut from McDonalds for breakfast.
The muffin or doughnut will not provide any health benefits rather it may rise blood pressure or cholesterol levels in your body. The health benefits of Porridge meal will last for the full day and it is good for everyone and especially for school children. Children who ate a healthy breakfast which includes whole grains and fruits are much more likely to have improved concentration and IQ levels.
The following of necessary daily nutrient requirements and adequate mental and physical activity will help in the overall development of human beings. "Porridge" is the term used for cooked cereal grain. Breakfast porridge can be prepared by including following items.
· Barley
· Quinoa
· Amaranth
· Bulgur [dried cracked wheat/soochi gothambu]
· Oatmeal
· Fruits
· Honey
So prepare to include a porridge breakfast in your daily chores and eat healthy to live a better life.
